1 Day to Celebrate Great Teaching
Empowered’s flagship professional development programs, called RiseUp Workshops, are typically organized with schools and community groups for all of their staff.
RiseUp Workshops are day-long professional development events that showcase how any K-12 educator – regardless of school setting, subject taught, etc. – can enhance what they are already doing to maximize student outcomes.
We’ll be visiting select cities, hosting events that any educator can register for and attend as individuals.
SMALL, MORE FOCUSED EVENTS
Instead of the large, multi-day events we have held previous summers, we’re bringing the RiseUp experience to more educators and places with smaller (about 50 participants), shorter (1 day) events throughout 2024. This allows us to better engage participants and ensure they leave ready to be successful.
- Free parking, breakfast, lunch, beverages, and snacks,
- All materials/resources needed for the session,
- A Workshop Workbook and an Empowered tote bag,
- 1:1 Follow-Up Sessions to ensure you have what you need to get started and go deeper
- On-going, no-cost access to Empowered Hub,
- PD Certificate (.6 CEUs / 6 Hours)
WHAT TO EXPECT
While agendas are still being developed, we anticipate starting the day with breakfast and networking. The morning will be spent in groups – based on previous use of Empowered resources in the classroom – exploring PMM and how it can be applied in your classroom. We’ll break for lunch then spend the afternoon letting you experience the power of personalized, hands-on learning. We’ll conclude the day with an Empowered auction and more networking and social time.
