Communities are, traditionally, defined as groups with shared characteristics. Recently, community has come to be understood as a kinship, a unifying passion. It is a trust. The Empowered Community is the latter – a group of 25,000+ professionals rallied around the belief that every learner has potential.

Empowered is focused on nurturing our educator community to help keep great teachers in the classroom, to ensure best practices and resources are being discussed and shared, and to gather the experiences and benefits of those using our learning model (PMM) in all types of classrooms for all types of students.

Individual teachers and interested organizations are encouraged to contribute to our community.

Meet Kimberly Yates. Kimberly leads our efforts to nurture and support our educator community through Empowered Hub, our social media presence, our teacher emails, and special events including our large RiseUp events and our guest speaker series. She also oversees our community partnerships.
