Empowered is seeking passionate educators from all backgrounds to join the 2025 Teacher Advisory Board (TAB) cohort. We have 25 spots open, and you don’t need to be a current Empowered Educator to apply.

We want a diverse group of educators with a wide range of experiences,” says Dre’ Helms from Empowered. “Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or just starting out, in a public school or a micro school, familiar with Empowered or not – your voice matters.

Empowered is committed to empowering teachers and transforming education. To achieve this, we’ve established the Teacher Advisory Board (TAB), a platform for educators to collaborate directly with our team and shape the future of our resources.

A Collaborative Approach

TAB members serve one-year terms, providing invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing today’s teachers. By working closely with this diverse group, we can ensure our tools and resources effectively meet the needs of America’s 4 million+ classroom professionals.

Building on Our History

TAB is a continuation of Empowered’s commitment to teacher collaboration. Our previous “Ambassador” program, which ran from 2018 to 2021, provided valuable feedback on our resources in middle and high school business classes.

A Growing Community

Empowered, now serves 35,000+ educators nationwide, a significant boost from the 1,500ish teachers we helped during the days of our Ambassador program. This expansion underscores the need for a formal platform to gather teacher input and ensure our offerings remain relevant and impactful.

Diversity and Inclusion

The 2024 TAB cohort reflects the diversity of today’s education landscape. We hope to further expand cohort diversity including geographic representation, socioeconomic backgrounds, perspectives, and career stages, etc. in 2025.

Listening and Adapting

As Empowered CEO Lindsay Downing-Schroeder notes, teachers have a lot on their plates. “We want to be a valued partner, not just another task. By actively listening to teachers’ we can create a more supportive and empowering set of resources for educators everywhere.
