As Empowered’s Director of Partnerships, Mik creates structures and partnerships that enhance teachers’ gifts of putting student success first. His work builds frameworks of decision making from within that can be taken beyond the walls of a classroom and applied in real ways. In this role, Mik gains energy from driving differentiation in learning to build the capabilities of students.
A Wichita, Kansas native, Mik earned a Master of Organizational Leadership at Newman University before moving to the suburbs of Phoenix, where he lives with his wife Lydia and their two sons. He believes that the freedom to think, learn, grow, and interact with the world is paramount, a belief that drives his work. In his free time, Mik enjoys swimming, golfing, and watching live sports.
