As a parent and partner to an long-time teacher, Kylie noticed a lack of choice in education, and she believes in a free market of education, allowing for both learner agency and educator autonomy. She also feels connected to Empowered’s mission based on her own experience as a young professional managing gaps in her education and career preparation. Through vision and strategy, she aligns innovative education solutions and the principles of human progress.
Based near Wichita, Kylie is married to Dustan, a longtime teacher, and together, they have three boys (Brigdon, Brock and Brandt). She is a skilled boat driver who enjoys weekends at the lake with her family and friends.
