Gidget sees her role as an opportunity to build relationships and trust with Empowered Educators. She finds joy and fulfillment in leveraging her favorite principle, Passion, to improve the lives of others. She believes that our effort to transform education should focus on removing barriers and providing equity and inclusion for all, regardless of race or socioeconomic status.
From New Jersey, Gidget today lives in Wichita, Kansas. Happily married for 30 years, she is the mother of three young adult children and two Golden Doodles and admires First Lady Michelle Obama for her grace, class, and excellence. Inspired by Dr. Lorraine Monroe’s “Nothing’s Impossible”, she pivoted her career from STEM to education and believes Empowered is giving her greater agency within her work.
