Launched in April 2022, Empowered Hub is the town square for the Empowered Community. An online portal, teachers can use the Hub to access Empowered’s innovative instructional strategy, classroom activities and support materials, to interact with other Empowered Educators, and dozens of on-demand training and development videos. A better Empowered Hub is ready for even more teachers.
Starting today, the 16,000+ educators with Hub accounts (more than double engagement for our previous tools) will see significant updates inside the Hub. Enhancements to the updated Empowered Hub Include:
ACTIVITY LIBRARY
Empowered’s activity library, with 180+ customizable, hands-on lesson plans is easier to use. Users can search and filter by keywords, subject taught, activity type, grade level, class size, and more. They can also “favorite” activities for faster access on their next visit.
A.I. TECHNOLOGY
Hub users can now cross leverage our decades of activity creation and technology to customize lesson plans. Over 1,000 teachers have used our A.I. Lesson Plan Generator to custom build or enhance activities. Teachers can input any direction or requirements (subject, class size, concept(s) to explore, time and space restrictions, etc.) to start. Then they can provide feedback on draft content until they are satisfied – resulting a ready-to-use PDF.
ENHANCED PROFILES
Empowered has partnered with Okta Single Sign-On (SSO) to ensure teachers can get immediate, ongoing, secure access to the Hub. This change streamlines account creation, validation, and management. Hub account holders can also now provide additional, optional information including location, school type, class(es) taught, student mix, and career point. This information, once anonymized, will help inform Empowered’s decisions on where to focus resource development efforts and to contextualize Empowered’s potential impact to donors and partners.
